The school day at Frank Wise begins at 9:00 am and runs through until 3:30 pm, providing a total of 32.5 hours per week, unless you are not yet of statutory school age, in which case the day is split into two half day sessions.
These run from: 9:00 am until 12:00 pm or: 12:35 pm until 3:35 pm
Children may arrive from 9.00 am onwards as staff are employed to supervise them. However, parents and transport operators are reminded that teachers do need time in the morning to prepare for the school day so you are asked to respect this by kindly not bringing pupils into the building before 9.00 am. We also request that you do not arrive in the school building to collect your child before 3:30.
For the Assessment Nursery, children can arrive from 9:00 am or 12:35 pm depending on whether they are attending for the morning or afternoon session.
The children can bring in packed lunches, or arrange to have a school dinner. We are able to cater for all dietary needs and can support those children who experience feeding difficulties with advice from the Speech and Language Therapy service.
While most children are transported to and from school, we are very happy to support parents and carers who would prefer that their child walks to school, cycles or uses public transport. For more information, please watch this introductory video or contact the school on 01295 263520.
If you should require further information then please contact the school on – 01295 263520
Play and Leisure
The school is very fortunate to have an Out of School Liaison Officer (OSLO) to assist in organising supported activities and play beyond the school, including funding and transportation to help every child to participate who would like to. In the past these have include DJ-ing courses, football coaching and Cubs / Scouts to name but a few.
If you would like some support with regard to helping your child to join in with play activities after school, weekends or during the school holidays then please contact the school on 01295 263520 or 07545 934951.
